This Privacy Policy explains how Bidisha Bhattacharjee, operating the ZIZIAB website (“we”, “us”, “our”), collects, uses, stores and protects information when you visit https://ziziab.com, create an account, or buy a digital product from us. By using this website or making a purchase, you agree to the practices described here.
Information We Collect
When you buy from us. At checkout we collect your name, email address, country and (optionally) phone number. An account is created for you automatically so that you can re-download your purchases; your login details are emailed to you.
Payment information. Payments are processed by Razorpay. We receive only the information needed to confirm your payment, such as the order ID, payment ID, amount and payment status. We never see or store your card number, CVV, UPI PIN or banking passwords.
Order and download records. For each order we keep the products bought, the amount paid, the date, and a record of downloads made from your account.
Browsing information. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site: which pages are viewed, how visitors arrived (for example from Google or social media), general device and location information (country/city level), completed purchases, and clicks on “Buy on Amazon” buttons. Our hosting provider also keeps standard technical server logs.
How We Use Your Information
- to process your order and deliver your digital product;
- to send order confirmations, download links and account emails;
- to provide customer support and handle refund or payment issues;
- to prevent fraud and misuse;
- to understand and improve the website (analytics); and
- to meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
Cookies
The website uses cookies that are needed for it to work (for example to keep you logged in and to keep items in your cart during checkout), and Google Analytics cookies that measure how the site is used. Service Providers We Use
- Razorpay – payment processing;
- Google Analytics (Google) – website usage statistics;
- Zoho Mail – sending order and account emails;
- Hostinger – website hosting.
Each provider processes data only as needed to provide its service, under its own privacy policy.
Amazon
Some of our books are also, or only, sold on Amazon (for example as Kindle eBooks or paperbacks). When you click a “Buy on Amazon” button you leave ziziab.com, and that purchase is made from Amazon under Amazon’s own terms, delivery and refund policies. Questions about an Amazon order should be raised with Amazon.
How Long We Keep Information
Order records are kept for as long as needed for accounting, tax, fraud-prevention and customer-support purposes, or as required by law. Your account stays active so that you can re-download your purchases; you can ask us to close it at any time.
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information. Payment details are handled only by Razorpay; product files are stored in a protected location and are available only to the customer who bought them, through their account. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your Rights
You may ask to see the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted, and you may withdraw consent where we rely on it. We will act on requests where possible, except where we must keep records for legal, tax or fraud-prevention reasons. To make a request, email admin@ziziab.com.
Applicable Law
This website operates in India, and this policy is intended to align with applicable Indian data-protection law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and related rules, to the extent they apply.
